H.E Dr. Abdulaziz A. AlZoom is the Chief Executive Officer to the General Authority of Competition in Saudi Arabia (Since 2018). President of the Arab Competition Network (Since 2024). He has 13 years experience in Saudi Arabian Capital Market Authority for in different roles, as Director of research (2011-2018), Chairman Advisor (2008-2011) and Media and Investor Awareness Department Director (2004-2008). Director of Finance and Administration at the International Energy Forum (2002-2004). Advisor for both the Saudi Arabia Minister of Energy (2000-2002), and the Saudi Arabia Minister of Economy & Planning (1997-2000). Professor of Applied Economics at King Saud University, Saudi Arabia (1995-1997). Member in many Center of Government Committees in Saudi Arabia.
H.E Dr. Abdulaziz A. AlZoom attended grade school in Colorado, United States of America where he received a Master’s Degree in Applied Economics. He also holds a PhD from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Applied Economics.
H.E Dr. Abdulaziz A. AlZoom published more than 30 articles in Local, Regional and International Journals.
