Lorenzo Ciari

Lorenzo is a Manager in the Sector Economics Department at IFC, part of the World Bank Group, where he supervises the development impact assessment of IFC’s investments in private sector (manufacturing, agribusiness and services), and leads the team’s research and analytical agenda. Prior to IFC, Lorenzo was a Senior Economist at EBRD, where he specialized in the appraisal of the Bank’s investment projects in the manufacturing and ICT sectors, and led the Bank’s technical cooperation work in the fields competition policy and regulation. Lorenzo holds a Phd in Economics from the European University Institute (Florence), and has published in major journals mostly with a focus on empirical competition analysis.
